MASSAGE THERAPY

  • What can I do to get the most out of my massage?
    • If you're coming after a workout or from outside on a hot/humid day, a shower before is helpful before Swedish or Medical Massage. It's easier for the Therapist to do their work when there's no sweat on your skin.
    • If you're wearing footwear that exposes your feet, they will most likely be dirty. The Massage Therapist most likely has alcohol to clean your feet, but if foot cleaning is taken care of beforehand, your massage time can be completely devoted to receiving massage. 
  • What should I expect for my Swedish Massage?
    • Traditionally people disrobe completely for Swedish or Medical Massage. If you prefer to be partially dressed in the massage room, the Therapist will work with you. Your comfort is the key to the success of the treatment. 
    • You will be draped with a sheet and/or towel at all times, with only the body part being worked on exposed. If there is anything that makes you feel uncomfortable, let your Therapist know and it will stop. Clear communication from both the Client and the Therapist are important. 
  • What should I expect for my Sports Massage and Shiatsu  (Accupressure)?
    • Sports Massage and Shiatsu (Acupressure) do not require disrobing and can actually be done in a public setting. This can be an excellent solution when you really want the benefit of massage but are uncomfortable with disrobing. Sports Massage and Shiatsu can happen before or after a workout. 
    • If you have any music style preferences, let your Therapist know. They will be happy to accommodate you.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    • At Evolved-Fitness there is a 24 hour cancellation policy for massage appointments. Our Massage Therapists are very busy and need to know if you are able to honor your appointment. If you are unable to do so, let us know as soon as possible to allow us to time to move the next guest into the schedule. If your cancellation is more than 24 hours from the appointment, we'll reschedule you for a more suitable time. If it is less than 24 hours from the appointment, your session is forfeit. We do our best to make sure to accommodate all of our guests and we appreciate your cooperation in the matter.

PERSONAL TRAINING

  • What should I do to prepare for my personal training session?
    • Before your first appointment, please let your Trainer know of your complete health history and goals. This will facilitate your Trainer creating the most responsible program for your needs. 
    • Please don't come to your appointment with a full stomach or a completely empty one. Either a healthy meal 2 hours prior, or a healthy snack a half hour before is ideal. This will help to avoid nausea, lightheadedness or worse during your workout. If you have failed to follow these suggestions, please alert your Trainer immediately so that he/she is able to make the appropriate changes or even provide you with a very light fuel source to be able to safely proceed. 
    • Please hydrate before, during, and after the workout. This is important to getting the most out of your session. 
    • Try to get a decent night's rest (7 hours or more) before your session. 
    • If there is any exercise that makes you feel uncomfortable, let your Trainer know and it will stop. Clear communication from both the Client and the Trainer are important to maximizing the success of the fitness program.
    • Please be considerate and make sure proper precautions are taken concerning body odor. Most likely, you'll be working out in a space shared by others and no deodorant or too much perfume/cologne can be very disruptive to others around you. 
  • What is you cancellation policy?
